Games for Saturday, November 30, 2019. All times CT because that’s where the SEC West is located.

11 am: Ohio State at Michigan (Fox) Michigan has shown just enough “improvement” over the past several weeks to fool America into thinking this will be a tough game to validate Ohio State’s rankings. When the blowout begins, click over to Indiana at Purdue (ESPN2), or Northwestern at Illinois (FS1) to make it a full Big Ten brunch. Also keep an eye out for Clemson-ing and Georgia-ing in case either decides to play down to their competition on the road (South Carolina and Georgia Tech).

2:30 pm: Alabama at Auburn (CBS) can the Gus Bus have his annual job-saving rally? Clickovers to Baylor at Kansas (ESPN), and Wisconsin at Minnesota (ABC).

6:00 pm: Texas A&M at LSU (ESPN) Wondering if LSU’s second-half defensive lapses of late are because Dave Aranda has reserved his 2 a.m. film studies for this game alone.

Random Streaming Game of the Week: San Diego at Northern Iowa (espn3, 1 pm).

Sark After Dark: Arizona at Arizona State (ESPN), Cal at UCLA (FS1), Fresno State at San Jose State (ESPN) and an 11:30 kickoff for Army at Hawaii (CBSSN).

Today’s menu: Saban is a Smoked Turkey

Games for Saturday, November 9, 2019. All times CT because that’s where the SEC West is located.

11 am: Penn State at Minnesota (ABC) winner stays on track to lose their coach in the next Coaching Carousel? Clickover to Western Kentucky at Arkansas (SECN) in case the Sad Hogs find a stairwell to fall deeper into the basement.

2:30 pm: LSU at Alabama (CBS). A conversation at dinner last night:

Kid who doesn’t enjoy football: Everybody at school is talking about LSU and Alabama. Why?

Me: Well, fans of lots of teams want Alabama to lose, and LSU might finally have a chance to not disappoint America for the first time in eight years.

Kid: Nick Saban is like Buddy’s dad, from Elf.

Me: …

Here’s hoping lollipop-loving Joe Burrow makes it through the Gumdrop Forest to Tuscaloosa, and Tiger Spirit around the world lights up Coach O’s sleigh with plenty of Red Bull fuel. Geaux Tigers.

Clickovers to: Non-football programming if it becomes 9 years in a row.

7 pm: Iowa State at Oklahoma (Fox) with clickovers to Missouri at Georgia (ESPN, 6pm), Tennessee at Kentucky (SECN, 6:30 pm), Utah State at Fresno State (CBSSN) and Liberty at BYU (ESPNU) for the Hugh Freeze Coaching Stock Ticker.

The world’s foremost authority on college football viewership, helping tens of people to clickover from Bama blowouts to more quality games since 2018!

Games for Saturday, November 2, 2019. All times CT because that’s where the SEC West is located.

11 am: Slim pickings. Go for whatever is competitive between Boston College at Syracuse (ACCN), Houston at UCF (ESPN2), Michigan at Maryland (ABC), NC State at Wake Forest (ESPN) or Nebraska at Purdue (FOX). At 11:30 but probably in some obscure internet stream is a big Patriot League showdown between Holy Cross and Lehigh.

1:30 pm: Virginia Tech at Notre Dame (NBC) to see which direction both coaches’ fortunes start to go.

2:30 pm: Georgia vs Florida (CBS) where the stark contrast of play-calling skills will be on display. Kirby Smart learning the DiNardo-Miles Principle of promoting inexperienced coordinators. Clickover to K-State at Kansas (FS1). Also Miami at Florida State (ABC) if you like to watch slow car crashes.

6:30 pm: Virginia at North Carolina (ACCN) to check in on the Mack Brown project, followed by Oregon at USC (FOX, 7pm) and Colorado at UCLA (Pac12, 8 pm).

Pac12 After Dark: BYU at Utah State (ESPN2), Boise State at San Jose State (CBSSN) and New Mexico at Nevada (ESPNU).

Today’s menu: Tubby was a Jerk Chicken

Games for Saturday, October 26, 2019. All times CT because that’s where the SEC West is located.

11 am: Wisconsin at Ohio State (Fox) The Badgers’ loss to Illinois was about as textbook Lookahead Game as it gets. Clickover to Iowa at Northwestern (Big Ten) for a chance to see a 2-0 final score.

2:30 pm: Auburn at LSU (CBS) The War Eagle Plainsmen Tigers haven’t won at the home of the Bayou Bengal Fighting Tigers in 20 years. Bo Nix thinks a neutral site game against Oregon was preparation enough for him. No clickovers and no mercy (we hope).

6:30 pm: In case we hate football after the afternoon games, it's an opportune time to turn off the games for the day. Otherwise, Notre Dame at Michigan (ABC) where a Michigan loss sinks Harbaugh even further or a Notre Dame loss further exposes them as nothing special. Either way we all win. Clickover to Colorado State at Fresno State (ESPNU) for a Pac12 After Dark amuse bouche.

Pac12 After Dark: Cal at Utah (FS1), Wazzu at Oregon (ESPN), Utah State at Air Force (ESPN2), and San Diego State at UNLV (CBSSN).

The world’s foremost authority on college football viewership, helping tens of people to clickover from Bama blowouts to more quality games since 2018!

Games for Saturday, October 19, 2019. All times CT because that’s where the SEC West is located.

11 am: Clemson at Louisville (ABC) has the feel of a potential letdown / taking them lightly week. An old fashioned Clemsoning the week after we got a Georgia-ing. If not, there’s clickovers to Florida at South Carolina (ESPN), Georgia Tech at Miami (ACCN) and Iowa State at Texas Tech (FS1).

Noon: Atlanta United vs New England Revolution (Univision) We’ll be taking the window of opportunity for some live soccering today. It’s a shame how the dumpster fire U.S. National Team handled Miles Robinson’s call-up. Now the Five Stripes will be without their best defender in the playoffs.

2:30 pm: LSU at Mississippi State (CBS) Curious choice for a CBS game the second week in a row. Clickovers to Oregon at Washington (ABC) and Baylor at Oklahoma State (Fox).

5:00 pm: Kentucky at Georgia (ESPN) to see how the Dawgs respond.

6:30 pm: Michigan at Penn State (ABC) ABC has quite the lineup of games today.

Pac12 After Dark: Boise State at BYU (ESPN2), Nevada at Utah State (ESPNU) and Air Force at Hawaii (CBSSN).

Today’s menu: Gator Sausage, Boudin & Burgers

Games for Saturday, October 12, 2019. All times CT because that’s where the SEC West is located.

11 am: Oklahoma vs Texas (Fox) where the Longhorns will need to park that giant cowboy statue from the state fair in front of the Cotton Bowl end zone to have any hopes of stopping the Sooners from scoring. Clickover to a sneaky-good Memphis at Temple (ESPN2) matchup because South Carolina at Georgia (ESPN) won’t be competitive.

2:30 pm: Mid afternoon is a great time to do other things because Alabama will blow out Texas A&M (CBS), Clemson will blow out Florida State (ABC) and Michigan State at Wisconsin (BTN) will set offensive football back by 4 decades. The Fighting Mike Leaches at the Fighting Herm Edwardses could be fun for the tens of people who get the Pac12 network.

6:30 pm: USC at Notre Dame (NBC) and Penn State at Iowa (ABC) give us 30 pregame minutes and then halftime clickover fare for…

7 pm: Florida at LSU (ESPN). Imagine Joe Alleva’s surprise when he tunes in from the 19th hole after a hard day of special consultant fundraising and sees the Gators playing a football game in Baton Rouge and not Gainesville. A toast to you, Hothead Joe!

Pac12 After Dark: Hawaii at Boise State (ESPN2, 9:15 pm), Wyoming at San Diego State (CBSSN, 9:30 pm) and Washington at Arizona (FS1, 10 pm) is a nice staggered start of potentially interesting games … if we don’t have to hate football by then because of the evening’s results.

Tomorrow’s menu: Coffee

Games for Saturday, October 5, 2019. All times CT because that’s where the SEC West is located.

11 am: Utah State at LSU (SECN) One more week till real games begin again. Bye week plus an early kickoff means Coach O will chug a few extra Red Bulls and punch himself in the face an extra few times to get some early energy from the Tigers. LSU and Utah State will probably score more in the first quarter than Iowa and Michigan (Fox) score in total. Oklahoma will score more at Kansas (ABC) than all of these teams combined.

2:30 pm: Auburn at Florida (CBS). The Gus Bus has never been to Gainesville in his career because the only thing dumber than SEC divisional scheduling is the MLB TV blackout rules. Clickovers to Texas at West Virginia (ABC) and Baylor at Kansas State (ESPN2).

6:30 pm: Michigan State at Ohio State (ABC) because the sorry state of the Vols has relegated Georgia at Tennessee (ESPN, 6 pm) to clickover status. Cal at Oregon (Fox, 7 pm) also worth a look-in.

Pac12 After Dark: Washington at Stanford (ESPN) along with Boise State at UNLV (CBSSN) and San Diego State at Colorado State (ESPN2).

Also — Friday Night Specials: UCF at Cincinnati (ESPN, 7pm) and New Mexico at San Jose St (CBSSN, 9 pm).

Games for Saturday, September 28, 2019. All times CT because that’s where the SEC West is located.

11 am: Arkansas vs Texas A&M (ESPN): The game that always goes to overtime in Arlington. Clickovers to Kansas at TCU (FS1) and Rutgers at Michigan (BTN) to check in on a whole host of programs in free-fall. Or ... take the opportunity to do something else for a few hours. Texas Tech at Oklahoma (Fox) has a chance (?) for competitiveness.

2:30 pm USC at Washington (Fox) to see if we make it to a fifth or sixth QB for the Trojans by week 5. Clickovers to Georgia Tech at Temple (CBSSN), Virginia at Notre Dame (NBC) and Ole Miss at Alabama (CBS).

6 pm: Mississippi State at Auburn (ESPN) The Legend of Bo Nix and his pedestrian passing numbers, developing weekly on The Plains. Clickover to Stanford at Oregon State (Pac12) to pretend you are watching Pac12 After Dark without staying up late and Ohio State at Nebraska (ABC) in case it is competitive.

Pac12 After Dark: Washington State at Utah (FS1) and UCLA at Arizona (ESPN)
